BIG4 Happy Hallidays Holiday Park

Great activities for kids and plenty of room to ride bikes around. Amenities nice and clean. Pool slide was great fun and kept kids entertained for hours. Sites were a bit tight to get in and out during busy school holidays. Laundry a bit expensive so would only use if absolutely necessary. Overall enjoyed our stay and would return.

This was the 4th year we have been back to Happy Hallidays. The staff are helpful and friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools are great. Cabins and park are always tidy. Putt putt golf, lorrikeet feeding & always some activity on for the kids- there was a reptile show this time which was fun. Close to beach, shops and 5 min walk to the pub for dinner and drinks. Love this place for kids - will be back again!

Prior to staying at other Parks this place was a disappointment. The communication between staff is lacking and the service reflected that. We had to pick up our own towels from the front desk every 4 days and even after they communicated that we can do so, the towels were not ready when we went to pick them up. The outdoor and indoor pool were lovely to swim in but I wonder why the location of the pool wasn't central to all the accommodation and the kids play area and jumping pillow were hidden from view behind the shed. I stayed in the large villa, the bedroom smelt of mould and the bathroom could do with a renovation. Regardless, we had a lovely time with family but definitely will not be back.

We decided to stay at Happy Hallidays after looking at all the photos of the park facilities, however on arrival we were very disappointed. The photos are obviously old and quite deceiving as the facilities at this park are old and dated. The outdoor pool looks quite large in photos, it’s not at all. We stayed in one of the villa’s, when we checked in the bunk beds weren’t made and the villa hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the website it says this villa has a hairdryer and dvd player, it had neither of these. We asked reception about the hairdryer and were told they don’t supply them, despite advertising that they do. We were also unable to access wifi throughout our stay. We requested a high chair, which was supplied covered in food crumbs and obviously not cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately the service wasn’t great, 4 days into our stay we requested fresh towels and were told no and we had to wait another day for our towels to be replaced with clean ones. In my opinion, this park is incredibly overpriced and not great value for money in its current state. We checked out 3 days early and left a feedback form, and no one contacted us regarding this. Disappointing and expensive holiday and we won’t be returning.
